I. REGULATIONS ANENT GLEBES Edinburgh, May 27, 1972 1. For the removal of any doubt, no Minister shall have the right to the possession or lease of such land, other than such right as may have been or be granted to him or her by the General Trustees. 2. The General Trustees shall be entitled to grant a lease or right of possession to any Minister, Kirk Session or Congregational Board of such land on such terms and conditions as shall be mutually acceptable to the parties. 3. Subject to the following provisions hereof, the Conditions of Tenure of Glebes approved by the General Assembly of 1933 (Appendix C), and the regulations in regard to the question of the amount which Ministers in occupation of Glebes should return as part of their ministerial income approved by the General Assembly of 1960 (Regulation 7) are revoked. 4. Nothing herein contained shall affect the interests of a Minister or the Assistant and Successor of a Minister who, at the passing of the Church of Scotland (Property and Endowments) Act 1925, was the incumbent of the benefice of any Parish. 5. Nothing herein contained shall affect the interests or obligations of a Minister, Kirk Session or Congregational Board in any case where, at the passing hereof, a Minister is in occupation of such land, or has entered into an arrangement where such land is being worked by the Kirk Session or Congregational Board and in respect of which a returnable rent has been fixed; and accordingly in such cases the Conditions of Tenure of Glebes and Regulations of 1960 shall continue to apply. 6. From the date of passing hereof no Minister shall be entitled to grant any lease or right of possession of such land. 7. The General Trustees, before selling, feuing or otherwise disposing of such land or leasing or granting any right of possession thereof, shall take steps to consult with the Minister of the Parish and (except in the case of seasonal grazing or mowing lets or other lets carrying no security of tenure for a period exceeding three years) the Presbytery of the bounds.
